Conversations are temporary by design. Here is exactly what that means in this build — no more, no less.

This is a development preview. Age assurance is self-declared and reports are not yet reviewed by a staffed team.

What we store

An anonymous session identifier, the conversation language and vibe you picked, and the schedule of your conversation: when it started, how many minutes you both chose to keep, and when it ended. We also count aggregate events such as “a match started” without tying them to you.

What we never store

Your messages. No conversation record contains them: nothing you say is kept alongside your conversation, so there is no transcript to hand over, sell, or leak. To deliver a message the server holds it in a delivery queue for a couple of minutes and then deletes it — that is the whole of its life in our systems. We also ask for no name, email, phone number or profile.

How long it lasts

A message is deleted from the delivery queue within about two minutes. The record of an ended conversation is deleted within about fifteen minutes. An unused anonymous session is deleted after twenty-four hours. Aggregate counts are kept for ninety days.

Voice messages

A voice message is a file, so unlike text it has to be stored for a short time — long enough for the other person to play it. It is uploaded to private storage that only the two of you can read, and it is deleted about fifteen minutes after it is sent. We do not transcribe it, analyse it, or listen to it.

The safety exception

Safety takes priority over the temporary promise. When you report someone, we retain the report — the category, anything you wrote, and which conversation it concerned — so it can be reviewed, and we keep it after that conversation's own record is deleted. Any voice messages from a reported conversation are kept as well, for thirty days, so a moderator can hear what was actually said; without that a voice complaint is one person's word about something nobody else can check. Reports are also why an account may be paused.
